Have just finished reading Gnoming About: Tree Mail Adventure by the wonderfully talented Liv Lorkin for what feels like the millionth time since my very excited 5-year-old received her advanced copy.

Unlike most books my little Miss develops an obsession for, I have yet to tire of this one! From the adorable characters, the introduction to a new world of natural magics, and the fun-filled illustrations that have you finding more and more discoveries with every read, Gnoming About has proven a welcome way to introduce my daughter to graphic novels for kids.

Gnoming About: Tree Mail Adventure masterfully captivates its readers with it's enchanting storyline and engaging illustrations.

In this fast paced world, it reminds our children of the adventure, fun and sprinkle of magic that lies just beyond their doorsteps. Gnoming About encourages self exploration and creative thought within nature whilst taking its readers on an educational journey across Australia. Beautifully designed to a high-end finish, I highly recommend this thoughtful and fun must-read by Liv Lorkin to all children.

The story and illustrations are enchanting. I'm certain youngsters will love this Junior Fiction Graphic Novel. I'm sure there will be more adventures from the whimsical and magical world of Gnomes.

This delightful junior fiction series kicks off with Tree Mail Adventure. Housed in an inviting peachy hued cover, readers are immediately introduced to gnomes Rocky, Daisy and Lucky; easy to remember names each with their own quirky likes and dislikes, most of which will raise instant appeal with young primary aged readers.

Whimsy and adventure are promised and dutifully delivered as our trio must band together in their flowerpot car (so cute! and gotta be cheaper to run than mine!) to solve the mysterious, perplexing disappearance of the tree mail. Once their mission is accepted, there is not stopping this trio from completing it.

Liv Lorkin is a heart-led children’s book author, illustrator and visual storyteller.
Since packing books underneath her bed as a child, she’s loved reading, writing and colouring outside the lines. With a blended background in science and a career in design, she creates thoughtful stories that spread messages of hope and joy.

Liv resides on the Gold Coast with her husband, Anthony and their little dog, Gracie.

When not immersed in illustrating, she can be found exploring gardens, finishing a good puzzle and drinking herthird cup of tea.
